Green Apple (00:00)
welcome, welcome back. You know the voice. I'm Julian. My name today is Green Apple and back with us is Scosia.

Scoxah (00:09)
The number two villain.

Green Apple (00:10)
You

to one of three, so. ⁓

Scoxah (00:18)
I'm either 2

or 3 up there, it depends on the day, you know?

Green Apple (00:23)
I'll let you guys fight over that one. But glad to have you back. ⁓ You know the drill. How was your last 7-ish days?

Scoxah (00:31)
A roller coaster to be honest with you. The first couple days of the week we didn't get no snow, no ice, know we're in North Carolina. It was crazy. We got like 12 inches or 12 to 13 inches over when it was snowing. But this week started out with everything cool, good weather, know everything. And then the last three days it's been crazy at work. I mean like just, I know we said like cursing but ass to wall.

Green Apple (00:53)
Mmm.

Scoxah (01:02)
But yeah, it's been real crazy, real hectic, but I can't complain. I I've been getting in the gym more lately and you know, that's been good. But yeah, no more me not stretching and locking up my limbs.

Green Apple (01:13)
Yeah.

Love to see you, please. Please keep stretching.

Scoxah (01:22)
Well yeah, how you

been?

Green Apple (01:25)
complete opposite of you. In the sense of, so let's back chat. I don't even know how many days it's been. My sense of time has been all types of off. But let's start off with the good, right? For the listening audience, and I got a new...

Scoxah (01:26)
No.

Green Apple (01:46)
art piece on my wall, Two Link. I ⁓ don't know which Link game it's coming from, but got that, got some more pieces that the behind the scenes people get to see. Setting up my apartment as you see on my other shoulder. My ⁓ 7WSins book bag is up as well. ⁓

so yeah, that was one thing. Finally set up my apartment basically how I wanted. Everything's where it's supposed to be. Cool. Work has been a lot for me. As of right now, it's not been as hectic as it was last year. For context, I work for the government. So last year was crazy.

Scoxah (02:37)
Off to a good start.

Green Apple (02:39)
Yeah, right now it's been pretty tame, but that can flip out at any moment in time. So it's been pretty tame with work. But with that said, my workload has ⁓ increased drastically. I'm doing...

I'm doing a contract where I'm doing a lot of road maintenance right now, but I'm also in the process of getting four to five more contracts up and running. We're already short staffed, so I'm going to be looking at roads like 50 plus miles of road. That is what it is. I have some help with that. ⁓ I can officially say I'm a part-time firefighter now. ⁓

Scoxah (03:23)
Hey!

Green Apple (03:25)
Yeah, I went out on my first prescribed burn ⁓ a couple days ago. That was cool. I was the one. I'm pretty sure all of this is going to sound so bad, but I was the one actually setting the forest on fire.

Scoxah (03:41)
You're burning

it so it can't catch fire.

Green Apple (03:45)
Basically, ⁓ pre-burn is, hey, we're just gonna burn off all the on top leaf litter, so if there is a natural fire, it doesn't get so hot and burn everything down. So it's just kind of like a precautionary thing. ⁓

Scoxah (03:59)
Yeah.

Green Apple (04:03)
That was cool. was in, I end up smelling like a campfire for sure. I was in the smoke above a flame. ⁓ Pretty cool. Definitely want to do it again. But again, I just have to juggle my work ⁓ doing both things. the other thing that I, a new development in life for me, which I must just be bored or just not caring for time.

And so I'm like, let me try dating apps and everything, Just cuz. Why do I feel like you're in? This is a new development. ⁓ I don't know what possessed me to do it, but I'm like, let me just do it one night.

Scoxah (04:36)
Mm-hmm. How'd it work out?

Green Apple (04:50)
Been on it for a week and I can already tell just being on here. This is very low ⁓ low level energy just Swiping through apps. I I personally don't like it But I myself I got a couple matches we're gonna see where this goes ⁓

Scoxah (05:03)
Mm-hmm.

Okay.

Green Apple (05:13)
Yeah, that's just that update. If I find a match on Anywhere, I guarantee you the listening audience probably won't know for a while.

yeah, that's been my seven-ish days, give or take. Yeah, so, yeah. But you know, we all came here for the main question. ⁓ X, this is a question that you gave to me. Do you remember the question?

Scoxah (05:30)
Okay, let's it one more time.

Let see if I remember. If I remember correctly, it would be if you could domesticate any animal. And I'm gonna kinda just branch off a little bit, because this is silly question. It's just something that'd make everybody feel good, you know? Exactly. It is Saturday, so exactly. It's silly. I don't know what day it is. But if you could domesticate any animal, it...

Green Apple (05:56)
What? It's Silly Saturday, you know the madness bruh.

Scoxah (06:10)
fictional, non-fictional, real life, fantasy, whatever you want. If you can domesticate any animal, which animal would you want to domesticate?

Green Apple (06:14)
god.

Do you have an answer for this? Because you just opened this a whole can of worms for me. What you got?

Scoxah (06:25)
I have a couple answers.

So of course, if I'm going like actual animals, animals sticking to like, you know, what we know and everything, and it's a little off the wall, but I want to domesticate a honey badger.

Green Apple (06:33)
Okay.

A honey badger. Why a honey badger?

Scoxah (06:42)
A honey badger.

Okay, few things. One, I'm a Hufflepuff. I don't really get too much into the, what's it called, Harry Potter that much, but I am a Hufflepuff. I know that. And our symbol is the honey badger. So that's one thing. Two,

Green Apple (06:50)
Okay. ⁓

Harry Potter.

Okay.

Scoxah (07:05)
They resist poison, so they always fight with snakes and they're low risk.

Green Apple (07:10)
Okay.

Scoxah (07:12)
They also fight lions. They will go fight a lion pack by themselves.

Green Apple (07:14)
Dad, I know.

Which is insane. ⁓

Scoxah (07:22)
and then come back like nothing happened. And also their pocket size. Like if I have a domesticated honey badger as you're in, I'm a villain, okay? So like if I have a domesticated honey badger, somebody is talking to me, saying some off the wall stuff, I could just pick it up and throw it at somebody. Just chuck it, you know?

Green Apple (07:44)
Are they?

They're really poc- You want a Pokemon! That's what- That's truly what you want! That- That's truly what you want.

Scoxah (07:49)
Hey, listen, it's a Pokemon. It's what is the Pokemon?

Cyndaquil? Like Quilava and Typhlosion. I mean, they're technically like, ⁓ what are they called? Porcupines. But like, you know, it's close enough.

Green Apple (07:55)
Mmm.

You

Porcupine.

You just wanna throw, you just wanna have a Pokemon and just throw at people. That's what I'm hearing.

Scoxah (08:12)
I mean, this question

is basically which Pokemon would you want to have in real life pretty much. So, for you, I want a Honey Badger.

Green Apple (08:19)
that

you want a honey badger. if we're sticking to real world animals right now, the only one I can think of the top of my head, right, which is still very problematic. Like I should not be having this whatsoever. A Komodo dragon.

Scoxah (08:41)
No.

Green Apple (08:44)
I feel like a Komodo dragon is the closest thing that I can have to a real life dragon. Yeah, I've heard that the statues like they have chainmail. ⁓ They are attracted to blood. So just and just imagine me in my new apartment and there's just a Komodo dragon just on the back on the belt back on it. Just just yeah, what are you doing walking my Komodo dragon?

Scoxah (08:52)
pretty much.

Just walking around. You know.

Green Apple (09:13)
But I already know that would be so problematic for so many reasons to where that is not an animal that should be domesticated.

Scoxah (09:13)
Just have him on a harness and at least just walk him through the neighborhood.

You know,

you're from Florida though, though. So like, Florida man with his Komodo dragon.

Green Apple (09:35)
Please please do not lump me in with the crazy that is Florida I Spent a lot of my time in Florida. I still do not claim it as my state for sure But I don't know fictional character fictional animal I'm still thinking of because Yeah, you you've really got me stumped of what fictional

Scoxah (09:37)
You

Yeah.

Green Apple (10:02)
animal and are we considered we are talking about animal animal right can't talk not human anything like we aren't or um what's it what's it called um humanoid like it it's animal like you can't get goofy but you can have pluto

Scoxah (10:17)
I would say, I would say

so like a lot of fictional animals can talk. Cause I would say like my fictional animal that I would want to domesticate and just have is a dragon. Some dragons can talk, but that's okay with me. Cause I got a dragon.

Green Apple (10:26)
Okay.

Mmm.

Okay.

All right. Talking can work because I'm now thinking about Johnny Test and Dookie. Dookie? I'm like, see, now we're getting into some really weird territory. Can I get Stitch? Can I?

Scoxah (10:43)
Hmm, dookie?

You had courage earlier, you know, he can talk. Debatable.

Technically, he's not like a dog or anything. He is an animal animal. I mean he did become domesticated. So technically you could domesticate an alien. He's an experiment.

Green Apple (11:02)
See

So you're telling me right now I can get Stitch?

Scoxah (11:14)
You won't stitch or Leroy.

Green Apple (11:16)
I'll take Stitch. Leroy, Leroy, Leroy can have it.

Scoxah (11:18)
or...

or... or, ⁓ what's the electric one?

Green Apple (11:25)
Ummm... Man, I can't... Sparks? Sparky? Sparky! Sparky! Sparky!

Scoxah (11:30)
Sparky, like that. Yeah, Sparky.

There are so many from the cartoon. was like, I used to watch cartoon a lot and I sitting there looking through them. was like, yo, these are dope. How does Stitch become the embodiment when we have one running through light and don't get it to us? I love Stitch. But one is literally static shock.

Green Apple (11:42)
Yeah, so that's...

That's true. It's kind of crazy is like that was the downgrade. I think Jumper's like, no, I can't catch him. We kind of need him to stay in a solid form.

Scoxah (11:59)
Too reckless,

can't do it.

Green Apple (12:02)
to ⁓

Scoxah (12:07)
⁓ Ruben, yeah, yeah!

Ruben, yeah, you always got a good sandwich. I mean, hey, I'll

say the only other one that I could think of, and this is funny because it kind of relates to Honey Badger, but like a giant blonde mole from Avatar.

Green Apple (12:30)
I know exactly where you're going from with this. I'm like

Scoxah (12:33)
Yeah,

I'm trying to learn some earthbending, you know?

Green Apple (12:37)
You know, those would be the creatures to tell you how to earth.

Scoxah (12:42)
They talk tough.

Green Apple (12:44)
But, doesn't have to be in-univo? Like, like, or...

Scoxah (12:48)
Oh, well, technically

in that world, you know, it does have to be, you have to be able to bend, but like, you know, I'm just trying to see, maybe I got some bending powers, I don't know.

Green Apple (12:52)
In you. OK.

Ha ha

Scoxah (13:03)
We'll figure out though, if not, they always got it and I can just tell them to go knock somebody off a cliff, you know?

Green Apple (13:03)
Yes.

Yeah

I'll be so upset if the reason why we're getting earthquakes on the East Coast is because you have a giant blind mold.

Scoxah (13:20)
I'm just going to and from work. It's okay. I'm not worried about traffic because I'm just taking my own route.

Green Apple (13:29)
This is definitely a silly Saturday for sure. So So but with that said, right? ⁓ What animal which which animal would you want to be?

Scoxah (13:32)
I ain't living on me, it's always gonna be

Yep.

Which animal would I wanna be? Okay.

Green Apple (13:44)
Yeah, yeah. I'm

sticking to the real for right now. Yeah, yeah.

Scoxah (13:49)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The fantasy is way too easy. Easy, but the real, let's see.

Green Apple (13:56)
And I'll give you another challenge with it too. You can't pick any animal with your R &D side too. Going forward. Going forward. Yeah, yeah, so that's the challenge for this episode.

Scoxah (14:03)
that's it. Okay, okay. Can't repeat animals. Yeah, okay, so. ⁓

So my answer is gonna kind of be a bit outlandish, outlandish or not outlandish, but it may seem basic. may not seem basic. Basic, it's feel a lot of people are gonna look to like certain types of animals. I have two different animals I wanna be. I either wanna be a staffar, staffar terrier, a staffy, a dog, dog, because I don't have to worry about food.

Green Apple (14:16)
Okay.

Okay.

Scoxah (14:41)
I don't have to worry. I'm a domesticated animal already. I'm a pet. I don't have to worry about food. I don't have to worry about shelter. I don't have to worry about my health. As long as I got a good owner, I'm good. I ain't got to hunt for nothing. But however, if I'm not a domesticated animal, I want to be an ape.

Green Apple (14:41)
What do you mean by that?

you

Okay.

An eight. Like.

Scoxah (15:08)
because I have

a possible thumbs, have a brain that I can learn things from, and I have an edge on everything else. And I can use my feet as hands. like, you know?

Green Apple (15:16)
Alright, that eight- what?

So, you're talking about monkey, gorilla, what are we talking about here?

Scoxah (15:27)
Yeah, yeah.

Okay, cool. So like, I want a tail. If I'm being honest, I'm probably gonna be closer to like a lemur, lemur because they're just funny, but also like chimpanzees, handsies. That's like the classic, know, has a tail, has hands. It has a tail, right?

Green Apple (15:46)
Mmm.

Chimpanzees, I think, do not have tails.

Scoxah (15:57)
No, they don't have toes, you're right. I can't think of the ones I'm talking... R-ring muck? It's one. Anyways, also baboons. Only because we're feaky. They do have toes. Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

Green Apple (16:09)
No till, but... Baboons?

I f-

Scoxah (16:17)
That's what Fiki had to tell,

Green Apple (16:18)
Why do I feel like he doesn't?

Scoxah (16:21)
Yeah, they got tails.

Green Apple (16:21)
Does he?

Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Look, my animal image, I'm like, this looks right with him without a tail.

Scoxah (16:29)
think it's because all you really see is his butt. And you don't see anything past that because you're like, that's a baboon butt in my face. But yeah, what do you got?

Green Apple (16:32)
Got you.

Mm-hmm. All right. Well, you got

Now I have to think real life animal that I would want to be ⁓ You took my animal about monkey like that will be my ⁓ Specifically for the tail like give me a tail hands down but I'm gonna say

Scoxah (16:57)
Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Green Apple (17:04)
No, I want I wanted to say dragonfly bottom like I'm too small I would want the the hunting skills of a dragonfly that is for sure I think they have the highest hunting rate like 95 % you they aren't missing

Scoxah (17:12)
You

Okay, so you want something high hunting rate, like a hunting rate, but you don't want something like small like an insect.

Green Apple (17:25)
Yeah,

I can't be red-eyed tree fog man. Like I can't.

Scoxah (17:31)
So your shoes sound like a falcon then.

Green Apple (17:33)
That's what I'm thinking. You know, if I can't, I know what animal I'm gonna do, which I really shouldn't, an ostrich. Actually, no. Actually, no, that's the bird. If I need to be a bird, I'm choosing an ostrich, right? Because of the long legs, no one's gonna really mess with me. I don't think they have natural predators wherever they are located. And if they...

Scoxah (17:44)
hahahahah

mean, they're in

Africa, I believe. It might be Australia. It's one of the two.

Green Apple (18:05)
One of the two but I'm like I thought about them like no they they might be in Australia. Let me be a kangaroo That that's that's my animal if I had to choose any animal right now it's Kangaroo Jane

Scoxah (18:15)
Kangaroo Jack.

Hey, hey, I was thinking, cause you said like ushers and whatnot. And I was thinking there's a bird called a shoebill stork.

Green Apple (18:29)
⁓ I know exactly what you're talking about.

Scoxah (18:30)
Yeah, I'd be

one of those for sure. Or I'd domesticate one of those for sure. Just walking around with that thing?

Green Apple (18:38)
You get so many people so many problems with that one. We're really going prehistoric with these animals.

Scoxah (18:47)
Hey, we haven't set a free store catapult yet.

Green Apple (18:50)
Not yet, but yeah, no. Kangaroo's at the top of the list right now, ostrich, and because you already took ⁓ primates from me. So, no, we already touched on this a little But what animal trait or ability would you want? Like monkey tail?

Scoxah (19:03)
Thank

Green Apple (19:14)
the dragon fly hunting skills, like what, which one would you want?

Scoxah (19:18)
If I'm talking about like a body part, have a tie for like two different body parts. Parts. One of them being a tail. You know, um.

Green Apple (19:23)
What?

Mm-hmm, but we you know, we can't

do that anymore. We've already picked that animal

Scoxah (19:33)
Exactly. I mean, there's many animals with tails though, so like...

Green Apple (19:38)
True, but I feel like the monkey tail is the most efficient one.

Scoxah (19:41)
It is, I feel the same way too.

But, I'm gonna have to go with, because I've already picked monkeys, I'm gonna have to go with falcon eyes.

Green Apple (19:48)
Hmm?

Fucking okay, okay.

Scoxah (19:53)
I

want that perception. want to be able to, first of all, I don't want to wear glasses. Just go ahead and take these off. Like I don't need them.

Green Apple (20:01)
Look, laser removal. Get your 1420 vision.

Scoxah (20:04)
But also like,

also like me being able to see something, something like pinpoint from like miles away, away, and then just going to grab it. Let me have it. Let me get that. Or like their speed as well.

Green Apple (20:17)
Okay. Okay.

Falcon's speed and their eyes. Okay.

Scoxah (20:24)
Yeah,

basically I'm flesh.

Green Apple (20:27)
Okay, you... Ha! That's funny you say that because I'm gonna be a little bit more flash than you. Give me the berry to ⁓ make electricity like an eel.

Scoxah (20:39)
Okay, yeah.

Green Apple (20:40)
Mm-hmm.

And then give me the arms of an octopus, the stretching ability and everything. The whole being able to fit through a quarter-sized hole as an octopus with electric ability.

Scoxah (20:52)
So basically,

basically you just out here sucking people while slipping into any crap.

Green Apple (20:59)
If I ever chose to do so, yes.

Scoxah (21:02)
So basically like, like per se, per se, you know, villainry, right? You can slip into a bank, bank because no gap can keep you. And then like, if you, if you get caught, you can just shock everybody and they don't know what happened.

Green Apple (21:11)
⁓ always trying to make me rob a bank.

Always trying to have me rob a bank.

Scoxah (21:24)
I mean hey listen listen they be robbing us so it's okay

Green Apple (21:31)
Yeah, continue.

Scoxah (21:31)
But then like, yeah,

cause like, I was thinking the only other animal, animal, and I don't know if you have any other, actually, do you have any more animal questions?

Green Apple (21:41)
⁓ I do, but what you got? Because we can always, I can always bring it back.

Scoxah (21:45)
So I was gonna say the only other animal trait that I would want is a mantis shrimp punching ability.

Green Apple (21:52)
⁓ I knew something, I had a feeling that would, which that fact alone, what is it, they punch so fast they make a small air pocket that is as hot as the sun?

Scoxah (22:05)
They make shockwaves. They break the sound barrier with their punches.

Green Apple (22:07)
Yeah. Which

is again, a crazy feat.

Scoxah (22:13)
And then on top of that is like, you they're so small that we're not worried about them doing stuff to us. But like, if I had that ability.

Green Apple (22:23)
You can't be held in prison. I'm letting you know that right now.

Scoxah (22:27)
I'm going into boxing.

Green Apple (22:30)
You're going to be a murderer. I hope you realize that.

Scoxah (22:34)
Not my problem,

not my problem.

Green Apple (22:37)
because I've had the... Good Lord. But no, because I've already had the idea of if I ever was in prison, right? And you have seen those videos where boxers are punching out candles. ⁓ So I'm like, you know what? I'm gonna do that, but I'm gonna teach a class and we're gonna ear...

Scoxah (22:38)
They signed a waiver.

Villain number three.

Yeah.

Green Apple (23:04)
air punch the wall enough time air palm the wall with the the class to eventually break down the wall that that is my go-to method of escape

Scoxah (23:06)
You're just air pulling in the wall.

You know what? Yeah. Cause I feel like I would teach a class class, but my class would be like, I don't know. It'd be something like you said, something that just nicks the wall every now and then.

Green Apple (23:16)
haha

Yeah

Yeah, every so often because who's

preparing for, uh, let's just say prisoners learning how to basically air bend and punching down a wall within a span. This isn't, and I already know this is not going to be a, Oh, I'm going to do this in a day type thing. No, like this is a five year, six year, seven year process of us just punching air punching this wall.

Scoxah (23:42)
Yeah.

Nah, it's gonna be a long drawed out thing. Things gonna get approved.

I mean,

if you get enough people, people and like, instead of like, you know, doing it like all across the wall, if you just pick one point, like get a punching bag and you set it right next to the wall and all of them are hitting that punching bag and the same spot on the wall, well, the punching bag is hitting the wall and damaging the wall at the same point. Eventually that wall is going to be brittle enough where you can just punch through it.

Green Apple (24:25)
See,

see that that's why, but the reason why I have a class is because I want the whole Air Force. I want to actually take down the wall, mess up the structure of the prison.

Scoxah (24:39)
You sure you're not a villain?

Green Apple (24:40)
I have the mindset of a villain and if two wrong things went wrong, what different in my life? I'd definitely be a villain. I'd be 50 cent or not 50 cent, but some on, on, on that path for short. Exactly.

Scoxah (24:58)
happiness.

⁓ That question made me think of another question. So if you were in prison, what animal would you want to come save you?

Green Apple (25:04)
What?

Good lord, and we can't pick the animals we've already chosen. Because the first option should be an octopus. Ooh. ⁓ you know? All right. Crazy, crazy thing, right? If I had an animal. All right, my silly answer. Give me a ninja turtle.

Scoxah (25:36)
Hahaha

Green Apple (25:38)
Give me a Ninja Turtle to break me out of But if I had to... Raph. Raph. Raph for sure. One of those two for sure. ⁓ But if I had to stick with a humanoid animal, give me a polar bear. Give me a polar bear. I think a polar bear is just mad. I know.

Scoxah (25:42)
Which one?

Okay, cool. We were thinking of safety or Mikey or Mikey

Okay, yeah.

Green Apple (26:08)
is just mass enough to just, you know, pull me out of whatever cell I'm in, take whatever bullets. It's a polar bear. One of the, four animals that hunt humans? I think it's the polar bear, gots it.

Scoxah (26:21)
Okay, I actually have, I got two silly answers, right? Because you said silly answer and it made me think, you said Ninja Turtles, I'm gonna go with Battletoads.

Green Apple (26:21)
All right, what about you?

Alright, alright. yeah.

That's actually not why I thought you were gonna go with that.

Scoxah (26:37)
I just saw another

one, but I'm gonna save him for later in case I need him for a later question.

Green Apple (26:42)
That's

so funny because I'm like, all right, cool. I thought you would have said Kung Fu Panda. Any one of them. The fear is five. I thought you would have been any one of them. All right, what's your other silly answer?

Scoxah (26:51)
You know, that would have been great answer.

Wait, do I remember my other silly answer? I know my

serious answer, but what's my other silly answer? Cause I said to battle toads, toads. And then you were talking about like, ⁓ which one did you say?

Green Apple (27:10)
I said a polar bear.

Scoxah (27:13)
We bear bears. I want an ice bear. Still a polar bear, but I want an ice bear.

I swear has committed no crime today.

Green Apple (27:20)
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Scoxah (27:28)
you

Green Apple (27:29)
What is your what is your real answer?

Scoxah (27:32)
My real answer is an elephant.

Green Apple (27:34)
That's the other one. If it's not a polar bear, an elephant should be coming into the...

Scoxah (27:38)
It's an elephant.

I would say great memory, great personalities, and also what wall is stopping me.

You put me in the middle of the ocean, they're gonna swim.

Green Apple (27:54)
You know, I thought elephants can't swim. ⁓ There are so many animals I should have said.

Scoxah (27:58)
They can swim.

So not only can they swim, but they can also hold their breath to the point where they can just walk on the bottom of lakes and whatnot and just walk across until they get to their destination.

Green Apple (28:13)
Mmm

That's crazy. they put, you know, with that, I just imagine them like holding in their breath and then putting their nose in their mouth is like, all right, let's, let's walk across. that, no, no, don't, they, actually do that?

Scoxah (28:25)
Yeah.

They can.

I imagine at some point if the water is not that long they can just stick their nose up and get some air and then keep walking.

Green Apple (28:38)
Hmm But you know definitely two other animals that came to mind that we should have said a rhino and The reason why I say that is because jokingly I'm like can I have the rhino from spider-man Yeah, but since he is true human

Scoxah (28:48)
I was thinking about it right now.

Just let me get the Rhino. Also,

off Rhino from Spider-Man, can I get Juggernaut?

Green Apple (29:05)
Yeah, no, then with Juggernaut I was thinking, why not just get a hippopotamus? Once you said the elephant can swim, I'm like, I thought they could, and then I was thinking about the hippo. I'm like, yeah, those things. Those things are literally tanks.

Scoxah (29:12)
Exactly.

would say that and I was also thinking like you know a tiger could really do some work.

Green Apple (29:32)
So many options. This is truly just a silly one

Scoxah (29:33)
It's not breaking down the walls, but it's taking over the prison at least.

Let me get tigers.

Green Apple (29:44)
But my other question of sticking to the whole animal kingdom and everything. ⁓ Do you have an animal that harmed you? Like, do you have a story about that?

Scoxah (29:58)
So you know my job.

Green Apple (30:00)
sure what you want to share

Scoxah (30:00)
So, so,

so like, I have scars all over my arms because I work in the vet field. But at the same time, like, I feel like I work in the vet field. So that's normal, normal. Like I have a scratch on my hand from a dog who was just trying to hold on. I have a scar on my arm from a dog who was nervous and we were trying to pull blood in and it decided that my arm was scratching posts.

Green Apple (30:05)
Mm.

Mmm.

Scoxah (30:28)
things like that. Never been bit, knock on wood, because you know, I'm always watching. Watching, I'm always careful. ⁓ And then, you know, cats are just cats, but I refuse to get bit by a cat because then I'll have to be on antibiotics. I ain't got time for that.

Green Apple (30:43)
Hmm

But is it?

Scoxah (30:46)
an animal

that has hurt me no no ⁓

wish I had a cool story like working out on an AT forum and a ram just trying to ram me or something like that but I don't I'm too watchful for that stuff I'd have to say like

Green Apple (30:55)
Mmm.

Scoxah (31:01)
Like, psychologically, I've been chased by deer.

Green Apple (31:05)
Huh?

Scoxah (31:07)
Yeah, I've been chased by a deer before. Yeah, just walking around in one of my old neighborhoods. It was like woods around the area and deer just came out, just looked at me. It was me and my sister just looked at us and then started running towards us. And I got out of there. We got out there. you know, because you know, horror movies start off like that. Like, why are you running at me?

Green Apple (31:09)
Okay.

That's...

Scoxah (31:34)
Yeah.

Green Apple (31:34)
That's true. I got two that come to mind. And they're both dog related. Yeah. So growing up, I was actually scared of dogs until this situation happened. But that was... ⁓

I was, how old was I? Let's just say I was 12 or something, right? 12, 13, going down to see my friend in the neighborhood. Everything's fine, knock on the door. And his little brother comes out and everything, right? And I'm like, hey, can so and so come out and, know, hoop or something. But mind you, I'm a good distance away, like, like arms length away.

He's there and his dog is, you know, barking out the door trying to get around him and everything. And I'm like, I'm not trying to show fear. I'm just like, all right, cool. You got it. Let's, you know, let's not make anything, you know, crazy or anything. So I have this conversation. He said his little brother is going to be out and the little brother is, let's just say if I'm 12, 13, he's eight, nine. So like.

Scoxah (32:42)
Yeah.

Yeah.

Green Apple (32:54)
pint

size, like he's hip height. And so as we finish our conversation and everything, the dog comes out from, like gets around him and I stick out my hand and the dog nips my thumb so slightly, right? ⁓ Didn't hurt, it just nipped my finger and my friend comes out and is like, please don't tell anyone. Funny enough.

Please don't tell anyone this was a complete accident. We don't want to put our dog down and stuff like that. And, but I'm like, no, it's cool. It's whatever. Didn't tell my parents. But yeah, but since that day, I have always been mentally prepared to fight a dog if need be.

Scoxah (33:46)
Honestly, I couldn't agree with that. I work in a vet field, so obviously I'm supposed to a lot of aggressive dogs. The minute I started working in the vet field, I was like, all right, now I'm ready. If somebody tried to bite me, I'm gonna have to react in a way that's gonna, you know, might not be the best, but it's gonna be how I react.

Green Apple (33:48)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, so...

Yeah, do I want to fight a dog? Absolutely not. Never in my day do I want to be in a position where I have to fight a dog. I just need to be mentally prepared if that day arrives where I'm just walking down the street and I see a stray dog.

Scoxah (34:21)
Yeah, and I should also preference this for all intents and for job purposes and whatnot. I am not out here punching dogs. ⁓ I do have techniques that I use and with aggressive animals, animals especially, if I get lunched or anything, I have techniques that I use to restrains that animal without either party getting hurt. I am trained, trained, but not everybody is trained and I was not always trained.

Green Apple (34:27)
Mm-hmm.

Perfect. ⁓

Yeah, so, but no, I definitely was not trained ⁓ at the time, so nor am I trained now to deal with a dog. But again, just safety precautions because of the fact that it could happen. It actually did happen to me. Like, what is the movie? Was it like Sandlot or something where the dog ⁓ is like on a porch and just chasing them? I'm not sure if it's that.

Scoxah (35:05)
Yeah.

Sandlot,

think a Kujo.

Green Apple (35:16)
Yeah, so that's one of my stories. And then the other story that comes to mind though, right, is that ⁓ there a dog put a hole in my hand. you, if I can't, you can't even see the scar anymore. Do you remember this one? Did I, do you know about this one?

Scoxah (35:37)
What needed to happen?

Green Apple (35:38)
This happened... I don't know, 20...

It was before color. So let's just say 2019. No. Yeah, maybe 2017? Because I don't think I tore my tendon yet.

Scoxah (35:47)
So we were on campus.

So we were on campus though.

Green Apple (35:58)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so that so the story with this is right. ⁓ My dog back home, lover to death. ⁓ She's a rescue dog. Cool. ⁓ I'm back home one day and it's like a Wednesday morning, like eight o'clock in the morning. I'm not expecting anyone to be here, right?

Scoxah (35:59)
Okay, cool, cool, cool, cool.

Mm-hmm.

Green Apple (36:25)
because it's schools in session. People work. I'm on break. and ⁓ one thing about my dog, ⁓ one, she plays rough. Two, she's the rescue dog. Three, any dog her size or bigger, she will try to fight. It is what it is. ⁓ Wasn't always like this. So and so I want it to be in the dog park where no one else would be there. And

Scoxah (36:25)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Green Apple (36:53)
The plan was going swimmingly until it didn't because a dude walks in with their dog. And this is a big dog park. We got some distance between each other. And again, I have to look at my dog just to see what's going on with her with the hair raising and everything.

I'm like, hey, are we good? Are we not good? Bolts. Immediately to the other dog. I'm like, great. And this isn't my first time having to pry her off other dogs because I'm actually in the middle of every dog fight that she has been in.

Scoxah (37:21)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Green Apple (37:40)
slight little tangent. The other owners, nothing. But I'm on the ground with them, but besides the point. So she bolts to this other dog. I'm like, ⁓ Get to this dog and everything. so I'm going to try to ⁓ paint a picture ⁓ visually for the questionnaires listening audience. So my dog.

is here. ⁓ And then the other dog was like this. My dog, other dog. So my dog's mouth was on top of the other dog's snout and everything, And so I'm trying to not realizing the situation fully, I shoved my hand into the other dog's mouth, right? Trying to thinking that she was on top of her mouth was on top of mine so she couldn't have, you know, a stronger bite force.

Scoxah (38:32)
Mm-hmm.

Green Apple (38:40)
right? I realize I was actually making it worse for the other dog because my dog was the one on top so it was biting down and she couldn't bite back to you know release the pressure and everything or whatever. as I and this is why I can't say I can't say the dog bit me because I stuck my hand in its mouth. Yeah so

Scoxah (39:03)
Dear.

Green Apple (39:05)
for like 30 seconds or so just have my hand in there and ⁓ I feel the canine because this is also something I did with my other dog because she would just like to nip at me all the time. I just bought my hand into a fist and just stick in the back of her mouth so she would just nip at my hand. So ⁓ my hand is just in there for like 30 seconds, but the dog's, know, pressing down and I'm not backing out. So one of her canines actually was just going into my skin. It literally put a hole in my hand.

Scoxah (39:19)
Yeah.

Green Apple (39:38)
Um, I'll also mention this too, da da da da da doing all this, blah, blah, blah. The other owner, right? Um, he, for whatever reason, had the idea. He was like, he took, took out his gun and he said he would shoot my dog.

So at this point, I'm like, please do not shoot my dog. calmly, because I can't startle the person. So ⁓ as calmly as I possibly could, I'm like, please do not shoot my dog. Right?

Scoxah (40:13)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Green Apple (40:24)
He puts his gun away and everything. So at this point, I'm like, I just need my dog to get off. So I'm like just punching her in the face, just trying to get her off this other person's dog. I get her off and we leave. ⁓ But since that day, I've never taken her to the dog park because of that. Because, yeah.

Scoxah (40:42)
Yeah. Yeah.

So unfortunately, I don't think a place that if I had a dog I had go to would be the dog park just because I don't know how other dogs react, but also I don't know how other owners are going to react. Because if I was the other owner, owner, I'd be pulling my dog back. I wouldn't just be sitting there looking. I'd be like, okay, cool. I'm separating as well. Well, because at that point it's going to minimize thing. I've had owners come in.

come in after a dog fight and their arms are all chewed up as well because they were like, no, we were separating the dogs. Dogs and whatnot. I've had owners that like, you know, come in, they're like, yeah, my dog got bit, bit. And I'm just like, okay, were you there? And they're like, no, I wasn't there. There, it came back to me. was when I'm like, why weren't you watching your dog?

But like, honestly, sometimes dogs are just like, sometimes they just don't like other dogs. That's pretty common thing.

Green Apple (41:46)
Yeah, no, Mm

Yeah. And again, it was hard for me to tell because before she would actually play with dogs again, maybe a little bit rough, but there was no like issue that dogs weren't like whimper or anything. So that's why I let her be off the leash like that.

Scoxah (41:56)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Green Apple (42:07)
but again it's just ⁓ and also why i chose to try to be in the park by herself so she can roam around do whatever

Scoxah (42:16)
Yeah, you try

to give her a space to do what she wants. Wants and whatnot, safely, you know? Like, you do everything that you could do. Dude, it's just, you know, some dogs are gonna be a dog.

Green Apple (42:19)
Yeah, so yeah, but.

Yeah, and then I will put on the record for anyone who is concerned and I did once so once I would leave the dog park and everything I did always go back to see hey is your dog okay just to you know make sure everything was you know good fine and dandy but yeah so since that day haven't really took her ⁓ yeah no since that day I never took her to the dog park again we ended up going more to ⁓

Scoxah (42:47)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Green Apple (42:59)
the beach when she was still willing to hop into the car and everything. But yeah, those are my two animal harming stories for sure.

Scoxah (43:08)
Yeah, definitely.

I'm seeing somebody get bent in the face.

I don't really think I've seen cats claw up, like just rip people's arms up to shreds, but no, I don't think I've really been into that much of big or like, I don't know if, like it's definitely still there. I just don't know if it's like noticeable on camera, but like that right there was where the dog clawed my arm.

Green Apple (43:20)
Mmm.

You said a dog clad your arm across your arm?

Scoxah (43:43)
Yeah, he was like holding on to my arm. Arm. Like, he had both paws on either side of my arm. Arm and we're just trying to hold him because we were trying to give like a vaccine to draw blood. Blood and we hadn't cut his nails yet. And he decided, okay, I'm just gonna scratch. Scratch and one just dug straight in. Straight in and just gashed it.

Green Apple (44:04)
Mmm.

Mmm.

Got you. ⁓

Scoxah (44:10)
I didn't even notice, notice because

I'm high adrenaline. I was like sitting there like, okay. I mean, we got that done. And then two seconds later, somebody's like, sure, I'm bleeding. I just looked down and was like, that does stink. Okay. I didn't go to the hospital. didn't do anything. I said, I worked in a vet field. I grabbed some gauze. I grabbed some bandages, wrapped it up, cleaned it. Good. Kept working.

Green Apple (44:36)
See, now if I did that, I will be the problem.

Scoxah (44:40)
You

Green Apple (44:44)
I do know you're trained to do this. If it happened to me, there's a... and you're in the environment for that situation.

Scoxah (44:51)
I

you work with first aid because you're a firefighter now, so you're kind of trained for first aid stuff.

Green Apple (45:00)
Yeah. But, ⁓ I haven't, we're sticking on the animal topic, right? Silly Saturday is still a thing. Right, transition to serious Saturday, but either way, how do you feel about zoos? Zoos and aquariums.

Scoxah (45:21)
It depends.

Green Apple (45:23)
Mm.

Scoxah (45:24)
So if the zoos do their due diligence and there's veterinarians that look after animals, have caregivers that look after animals, and these animals are like from rescue, like being rescued but they're not like going out and catching them from wildlife. Like a lot of animals, I believe in a North Carolina zoo, or rescued animals like...

somebody had them as a pet animal got too big, big, because why would you keep a tiger as a pet? Or from one of these other local spots, spots that were like, yeah, we're animal sanctuary, but they're not really taking care of animals. It's just for show or even from like circuses. They take those animals have stories and whatnot. They put them in pens. They like, they basically use the zoo zoo as like a sanctuary to

Green Apple (45:57)
Mmm.

Okay.

Scoxah (46:22)
help

the animals out. If it's like that, all for it. Even if like, you know, foreign dangerous species, sea she's where the zoos, what they do is they take the animals, animals, put them in like a environment and like their own, own, and they help to build the population back up. They help breed them back to where they're not in danger anymore. And they also work to

Green Apple (46:46)
Mmm.

Scoxah (46:51)
release them back into their natural habitat so they can repopulate in the wild as well. That's cool. I like that. Zoos and even aquariums that are there for show and monetary value and they don't put care into the animals should not exist. Because one, that animal is your livelihood and you should treat it as such.

And two, it's an animal, it's a living being. You shouldn't treat it as a gallery auction piece or a slab of meat. It should be treated well, it should be fed, it should be nurtured, nurtured. And like, it's a wild animal. Animal, I'm not gonna go around a tiger with a collar expecting to walk it and not get mauled.

Green Apple (47:24)
Yeah.

Yeah Yeah For from it's I Don't know if it love hate relationship with them isn't the right word for it But I definitely have mixed feelings about zoos because zoo when you're little That's cool. You get to see animals that you probably never get to see ever You only be able to see through

Scoxah (47:44)
Select treated as such.

Mm-hmm.

Green Apple (48:11)
like television or read about it in a book, see in a picture book, but being able to actually see an animal in a quote unquote safe environment, that's cool ⁓ as a kid. ⁓ As adult, now that I am older, unless I'm going on a date or something, I have no reason to be in a zoo ever.

Scoxah (48:22)
Yeah.

Yeah, honestly,

you know.

Green Apple (48:41)
Yeah. And then you, you kind of hit on the point of the, it animals being, you know, for sanctuary and everything for endangered species that that I'm okay with because you're literally trying to bring the animal back to living condition. But the other flip side of that is like, I feel like it's getting to the point to where you could, the only way you are able to see these animals is in a zoo. I, that's just,

terrible for us as a human species. ⁓ Rather, it's hunting them down to extinction and or climate change and affecting everything that way. That's where I'm like, we shouldn't have like my sister says, sees zoos and aquariums both as prisons for the animal, which I do agree with. ⁓ So because like having a whale in aquarium.

Scoxah (49:13)
Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah.

That's criminal. It's too big for that.

Green Apple (49:43)
What why

they especially yeah whales are what circle the globe basically Yeah, so

Scoxah (49:51)
Yeah, they travel. They travel,

they're nomadic animals.

Green Apple (49:55)
Yeah, having stuff like that,

and good consciousness can't truly support.

Scoxah (50:02)
So like something like a whale? No. Don't put it in zoos. Like killer whales, don't put those in zoos. This is not free willy. Don't put those in aquariums. Like sharks in aquarium? I'm not upset about a shark being in an because most of time these sharks are sharks that got injured in the wild or something like that. So they're there if it's a good aquarium. They're there for a reason. like that's fine. Like fish?

Green Apple (50:10)
Mmm.

Scoxah (50:30)
There's so many fish. I'm not going to bug about a fish.

Green Apple (50:32)
Yeah,

like fish, I'm okay with it. There's like you said, so many species of fish. There's so, but again, when the animal starts becoming extinct, then I'm like, what are we doing here?

Scoxah (50:44)
that

yeah and like even like sea turtles because like sea turtles have a very big crisis with you know the turnover rate of the birth birth and whatnot and so like having them in zoos and whatnot not only really works for me and i'm okay with if they're like

actively working to increase the natural population of that animal. So if you are actively working to increase the life of that animal and its lineage and race, that's all good. If you just have those animals just to say, oh hey, come look at this tiger. I don't like that. I never like circuses for that reason because I'm like, like you're.

Green Apple (51:09)
Mmm. ⁓

Yeah.

Scoxah (51:32)
you're whipping the tiger to do the jump through a ring ring for somebody's entertainment that tiger doesn't jump through rings the tiger runs through the jungle

Green Apple (51:40)
Yeah, no,

thinking of circus and everything. was definitely thinking about like elephants, like, I don't know, walking on a ball or something. Like, that's not what they were supposed to be doing.

Scoxah (51:54)
They can get hurt

so easily from that. it is. And then on top of the fact that you also have to deal with poachers and all that stuff, it's let the elephants be elephants. Like I think India just, just got rid of like, ⁓ elephant rides and whatnot. No, because I think so. I might not be telling the truth. might, come to questionnaires. Don't come for my neck neck.

Green Apple (52:05)
Yeah

really?

Okay.

Scoxah (52:21)
I don't get out into the news that much, but I think I might have solved that.

Green Apple (52:25)
Okay, yeah, I think I saw something about I can't remember where but someone banned circuses from having like live animal attractions or entertainment or something.

Scoxah (52:35)
Mm-hmm.

Because like, okay, it's one thing to have the clown show have people juggling the acrobats and whatnot. Those are people that signed up for shit and whatnot. To go out and capture an animal because you're not finding these animals in Wildman or not domesticated. To go out and find an animal and then force it to be something it's not. Not just doesn't sit well with me. And like, you know,

Green Apple (52:42)
Do people things. Yeah.

Mmm.

Scoxah (53:04)
I don't know, cause it's kind of funny cause I say that and then I'm sitting here like, seals and circuses are cute. But at same time, they need to be treated right.

Green Apple (53:12)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Continue.

Scoxah (53:20)
I think what it is, is if it's a sanctuary, I'm okay with it. If it's not.

Green Apple (53:25)
Yeah.

Scoxah (53:27)
I don't see the reason.

Green Apple (53:29)
Yeah, me, if, sanctuary for sure, if the animal isn't endangered and if the animal is trained right, I can get behind the zoo or that zoo structure. But I'm truly, this is like mean process. I'm like, I really can't think of a reason to support a zoo other than for the children. Like other than the...

Scoxah (53:58)
for educational

Green Apple (53:58)
Yeah, other than that,

Scoxah (53:58)
purposes for children.

Green Apple (54:01)
I can't-

Scoxah (54:02)
Like I think I went to North Carolina Zoo two years ago, got to feed a giraffe. That was a cool experience. But also I know in North Carolina Zoo, most of those animals are there for educational reasons and they are treated almost damn near like a sanctuary, not a ⁓ attraction. Because I feel like some zoos, the spaces are so small that the animals can always be seen and then they go into cages when they're not. But like North Carolina Zoo...

Green Apple (54:06)
Mm.

Mmm... Yeah.

Scoxah (54:32)
They don't have cages unless it's for treating the Like they have red wolves in North Carolina Zoo and one of them is missing a leg. He's there because he's missing a leg. ⁓ And then even still with like the giraffes, we almost missed the giraffes because they were out in the back walking around somewhere. We didn't even know where they were. They had elephants. The in capture was so big that like...

Green Apple (54:35)
Mmm.

Okay.

Scoxah (55:00)
there's a good chance you might not see the elephants. And each elephant has a story like, this elephant went through this, this elephant was traded through this, this elephant was saved through this. It's something, all the animals have a story to where it's like, okay, cool, they're here because it's safe. And they're not fit to go back into wildlife.

Green Apple (55:17)
why they're there.

Okay.

Hmm. Yeah, because I feel like a better I can think of two better alternative and I think one actually does exist Kind of like instead of In cat enclosing the animals in their space go to where they live like Put yourself put yourself in the cake kind of the equivalent of like Swimming with sharks. Yeah, exactly you instead of you in in

Scoxah (55:52)
Like a shark inch? Yeah.

Green Apple (55:58)
⁓ putting an enclosure around them you go to where they're at and just exactly that i think would be the most ideal because it

Scoxah (56:01)
Like a safari trip.

It would

also be more educational because you see them in the natural habitat. If you see them, hopefully you see them they don't see you.

Green Apple (56:15)
Yeah. ⁓

Yeah,

exactly. And then the other thing, ⁓ if you have, and again, this is just me just thinking widely, instead of having every, what is it? Every city has a zoo or something?

Scoxah (56:36)
Maybe, I don't know.

Green Apple (56:37)
Yeah, I never really looked into how the zoo, but basically for, let's just say, each state, right, has a giant enclosure where it spans.

The length of... Let's do square acres. ⁓

Actually, let's not. Let's just say it takes up ⁓ a quarter of that state. just let's just say you made a giant like Simpsons dome. You just dropped it, put the animals in, let them do whatever. Let nature take its course that way.

Scoxah (57:10)
Yeah.

The Simpson dome is killing me.

Green Apple (57:20)
That's it

Scoxah (57:22)
But kind

of, so like what you're saying is kind of like a national park.

Green Apple (57:29)
Yeah, yeah, it's huge enough to where they have the space, the resources to do whatever they want. We have a safe path to do, but it's kind of a mixture of both of the safari, putting yourself in the cage and also ⁓ enclosing itself for the animals that aren't native. Yeah.

Scoxah (57:45)
Yeah, like,

yeah, pretty much like Yellowstone on how Yellowstone has like buffaloes and whatnot, which are endangered because they got hunted so much. But buffaloes are just roaming around Yellowstone because they're good. They're fine. Fine. And you can't touch them. You can't really do anything in Yellowstone towards them. And you can't mess up the land in Yellowstone. It's protected. That's it. I feel like

Green Apple (57:55)
Mmm.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Scoxah (58:14)
In a perfect world, we'd have national parks all over the world where we could have programs and be like, okay, cool, cool. You're really interested in this or you want to check out this, this, let's go take a trip over to Africa, Africa's national park where you can see these animals, animals. You might not see them, but you might see them. Let's go down to Florida national park and see some gators, gators and lizards and whatnot. Let's go up to, you know,

Green Apple (58:40)
Yeah.

Scoxah (58:45)
Let's go over to Antarctica. Yeah, this is the national park. We'll see some polar bears, some lion seals and all that stuff. Or we can go over to, know, Hawaiian National Park and see all their stuff, which Hawaii is basically a national park, but.

Green Apple (58:47)
Antarctica or...

Yeah.

Yeah, that, yeah, I think that would be, but, and the only drawback is just don't take the animal outside of their natural habitat.

Scoxah (59:16)
Yeah.

Green Apple (59:17)
Yeah, but once we get

Scoxah (59:19)
Yeah, there's like,

there's honestly no reason and I've never understood it and this is just me being me. I've never understood a reason for like poaching or like these high end fashions that are like, I have a fox, fox around my shoulders. I'm I'm like sitting there like, like that doesn't make sense to me why y'all made that a status symbol because first of all, there's no reason to take the animal as natural habitat. Secondly,

Green Apple (59:32)
Or ivory, tusk, whatever.

Scoxah (59:48)
Secondly, doesn't look good that you have a pelt of a dead animal around your shoulders when everybody knows you didn't use any other part of that animal. You just took its skin and said, hey, it looks nice. Nice. Like it's one thing if you're out hunting, hunting for like meat to feed people and you kill something and then you take every piece of what it is.

what it is and break it down and do stuff with every piece of it. Like if you kill a deer, deer, the antlers can become utensils for eating, eating or like knives for hunting arrows, stuff like that, that the skull, the teeth can be used for things, things, every part of it can be used for posts to hunting a deer just to mount its head on the wall, wall because they had a nice rack, rack. I'm like,

Green Apple (1:00:36)
Yeah.

Yeah.

Scoxah (1:00:45)
But what'd you do with the rest of the deer?

Green Apple (1:00:47)
Yeah, I taxidermy that I that's what it's called right where you like stuff the animal run Yeah, I never To your point. I never understood that one either Like I

Scoxah (1:00:53)
Taxidermy. Yeah.

And see, like,

I should probably say, like, speaking on like, because I'm from the country and I've seen it so many times, you've probably seen it so many times too. Like people having, having the stuff on their walls. Walls. Okay, cool. Cool. You got that buck on your wall. Wall guy has a trophy on your wall, but like.

Green Apple (1:01:08)
Yeah, I see it every so often.

Scoxah (1:01:21)
I'm not gonna bug out about it if you say, yeah, that was during one of my hunting trip, hunting trips. I got that one and then I brought it back. had some, we had a cookout with the me. I made some deer jerky. I got some deer venison still, some deer steaks still in the freezer out back, back. ⁓ Yeah. And then a lot of the other body parts we sold off, off to some of these other places that utilize them more than we do.

do or even I made a belt out of the skin and got some other stuff made out of the skin if you you lost it I'm happy if you sat there and looked at me when I killed it took his head mounted it the rest I left some animals lead it no

Green Apple (1:02:07)
Yeah, again, I never looked into taxidermy to figure out what they actually do with the part that they don't use. But again, it's just strange to me. I can go, can support hunting for sport. can, I can, can, I'm okay with that. Again, if the animal isn't endangered because

Scoxah (1:02:33)
Exactly.

Green Apple (1:02:34)
That or if you're doing

it for a like, a...

Quality control, people hunt, yeah, deer, snakes in ⁓ Florida because there's an invasive species, stuff like that, perfectly fine with. Yeah, the emu in Australia at a point in time, yeah. Exactly, so like stuff that's overpopulating, I'm okay with. ⁓ But again, one is like, ⁓ we only have, let's just say,

Scoxah (1:02:41)
Like deer.

rabbits.

iguanas, capybaras, ⁓

The emu war. That they lost.

Green Apple (1:03:09)
We have 700 Bangle Tigers in the world.

Scoxah (1:03:13)
I'm

gonna hunt 500 because I want 500 pills. That's stupid.

Green Apple (1:03:17)
That I can't get behind that.

Scoxah (1:03:20)
But like, yeah, like you were saying, cause I also like, one, I would be the person that I would hunt at some point. I fish, but I don't over fish. I would hunt, hunt, but I wouldn't over hunt, hunt. And I've also liked the fact that one thing America does do, they have hunting seasons. And the game wardens stick to those hunting seasons pretty seriously. If you hunt outside that season, you're going to jail.

Green Apple (1:03:34)
Yeah.

Exactly.

Scoxah (1:03:49)
Even still like, even outside of just like hunting in the seasons and whatnot, not like if you're hunting, like you can't kill a doe. No, killing a doe is illegal. You'll go to jail for that. You can only kill the males because the time of the season where we're hunting, the doe could be pregnant.

Green Apple (1:04:13)
Hmm, that I did not know.

Scoxah (1:04:16)
Yeah, yeah, so most of the time and honestly a lot of hunters they don't care about the dough, which is funny. The Bambi, the movie is funny to me because in the movie Bambi, I always sit there I'm like, well that person probably went to jail after killing Bambi's mom.

Green Apple (1:04:30)
Yeah

Scoxah (1:04:35)
But okay. And then even like,

But then switching up and some like the part of hunting I'm not okay with is when people are like, yeah, I like big game hunting. I'm gonna go hunt over in Africa for a lion or like I'm gonna go hunt a bear or I'm gonna go hunt a elephant or a rhino just so I can have that trophy on my head. I'm the ultimate hunter. I'm like, that makes no sense because you're not gonna do anything with the meat.

Green Apple (1:05:06)
Mm-hmm.

Scoxah (1:05:07)
If you're actually like from Africa and you're out there hunting because that's what you've got to hunt, hunt. Okay, cool. You're going to use it. If you flew to Africa to go hunt something in Africa, that doesn't make sense.

Green Apple (1:05:23)
Yeah, no. I truly never really thought about hun- This is the most I thought about hunting ever. I never thought about big game hunting as a- Because is there not- Not asking you as if you're an expert, but do you know if there's like a season for like big game hunting either? Or-

Scoxah (1:05:44)
I think

I'm not sure, but I know it is heavily regulated because I to say the thing about it is big game hunting is separate from poaching. Poaching. And so like even people who big game hunt, they follow a strict code because outside of that code is poaching. If you poach then you're cooked.

Green Apple (1:05:49)
yeah, definitely, definitely needs to be regulated for sure.

Yeah.

Yeah. Polishing is basically like in that stationary, I'm hunting whatever animal, right?

Scoxah (1:06:18)
not even it doesn't even have to be in a sanctuary or definitely in a sanctuary if you hunt in sanctuary you're you're cooked but like

Green Apple (1:06:23)
Yeah. Yeah, that or

endangered species, stuff like that.

Scoxah (1:06:28)
Yeah, ⁓

but then the other thing is like if you go hunt down an elephant and just take its tusk and leave the body, that's poaching.

Green Apple (1:06:41)
Mmm.

Gotcha.

Scoxah (1:06:43)
Because hunting by definition, you're hunting the animal to use every part of

But a lot of people, I feel like a lot of people don't take the body and be like, we're gonna use it so they get out of the poaching category, but then they'll throw away a lot of it. A lot of it, I'm like, that's not how that works. You use every part of it.

Green Apple (1:06:49)
Yeah.

Got you. Got you.

Yeah, I... Hmm.

Scoxah (1:07:05)
and the parts you don't use, can donate somewhere that will use them.

Green Apple (1:07:09)
Hmm. No, you got me. This conversation got me thinking. For sure.

Hmm.

Scoxah (1:07:17)
I mean,

yeah, I'm gonna say that and other things like I know people can lead this to being like, okay, but like having animals owned farms like cows and whatnot, not like that should be something frowned upon too. And I'm like, that's not frowned upon. One thing is not frowned upon is because those animals live better than us. Secondly, they live better than the wild versions of themselves. Thirdly, their diets are so catered, catered.

that like, it's insane. So because I've studied this, the cost of feed is 75 % of all expenses when you're raising livestock. So like 75 % of what they're spending and it's like millions and billions is food.

keeping things stored properly, making sure they have the right contents of the food, making sure they're not overfeeding them or underfeeding them. When they're pregnant, they have to make sure they have the right food for that. there are certain seasons need different things, the use of like vaccinations is frowned upon now because people didn't want...

want things in their meat when they eat, which understandably you don't want things in your meat, also the other thing behind it is most of time when these things get vaccinated, the time it gets to your table, that's going to be metabolized and no longer traceable. It's always been regulated to the point where you can't have a traceable foreign substance in any meat.

and the FDA, they don't play with

Green Apple (1:09:13)
Hmm, I know. That's definitely food for thought for me because I didn't even think about livestock in this category. ⁓ Because the only thing I've heard is funny enough about livestock and how animals are treated is in the, what is it? ⁓

is one Little Dicky song that the per- was like, ⁓ I- yes, that's the exact- that's the exact one I'm thinking of. Where the character was having that issue about how animals are raised and everything. So that's like really the only quote unquote person that I've heard have issue with that. But-

Scoxah (1:09:38)
as a bedroom top.

Green Apple (1:10:02)
Other- My-

I know. I'm just thinking because as of right now, I don't have... I will say this. I want the animal that I'm eating to have been treated properly because just like the zoo and aquarium and everything, I don't want to see animal cruelty in any form or fashion in any chain or wherever it's at. But I do think livestock...

is important for us to be able to have quote unquote abundant of food so people can eat. Yeah, so.

Scoxah (1:10:42)
Yeah. And

so like definitely there are a lot of things that go into it. Like for one, my bosses actually have a cattle farm and they raise cow this grass fed is the best meat I've ever had. ⁓ But like they have a lot to go into that and they're always constantly working on it. It's not something where like you just buy the animals are out there, there you need money. You go get it. You go kill it. No, it's a constant job day and night.

Green Apple (1:11:11)
Mmm.

Scoxah (1:11:13)
even like, cause fun fact, North Carolina is not on the corn belt.

But, North Carolina put so much money into farming and livestock stock that they are successful with crops and they're successful with pig farms. I think we're top five in pig farming. Which pig, I know a lot of people look down on like pork. Pork, because a lot of people have seen it as unclean meat.

If look at it now, pork is one of healthiest meats that you can have because we've changed the pigs' diets so much that their meat is a higher quality. And also their meat is super cheap because think of how many pigs you can have on a farm. If all those pigs are healthy and whatnot, they move on to become all this pork product.

Green Apple (1:11:57)
Hmm.

Pigs. Mmm.

Scoxah (1:12:17)
then I'll say another unique thing is a lot of people, people, I'm not going to say all vegetarians because all vegetarians are not like this. It's, but a lot of, a lot of ones that are allowed and wrong, like to say that.

Livestock farms are bad for the environment because they produce a lot of methane. For instance, cattle farms do produce a lot of ⁓ But how much land it would take to feed America off of crops alone would produce more methane than one

than having cattle farms because you also have to burn that land to renew the resources in the ground.

There's a lot that goes into it. To it, I could talk for, we could do a whole podcast on it.

Green Apple (1:13:18)
The gears are already turning in my head of how I'm gonna bring this back up. Don't even worry about that.

Scoxah (1:13:24)
Listen, this was just one class at ANZ. And I still have all my notes. like, hey, aggie till I die.

Green Apple (1:13:27)
Shout out to ANT.

Someone's probably get mad at me and say fact check this or whatever you say. But I definitely appreciate you.

Scoxah (1:13:43)
Oh, please fact check me.

I might be wrong on some things. Okay? Listen, it's been, it's been, uh, I graduated at 23.

Green Apple (1:13:48)
A couple years.

A couple years.

Scoxah (1:13:52)
took that class in 2019? It's been a couple years, but I'm pretty sure I stay up to date on a lot of things because it's important to me. Of course, animal health care is important to me. That's what I do. But even still, because I want to be a vet, whether it be a large animal vet, a wildlife vet, that zotic vet or small animal vet, I want to be a vet.

Green Apple (1:14:06)
Yeah.

Scoxah (1:14:22)
that so it's important to me that I stay on top of these topics and whatnot even even if it's just like ⁓ what vaccines are coming out or what things are coming out do we have this probably best coming out even if it's just okay there's a new brand of allergy medication medication coming out for animals is it cheaper than the brand that we already have have to help people get more allergy medications for their animals

Green Apple (1:14:22)
Peace.

Yeah

Scoxah (1:14:53)
It's

their medications for like anxiety for animals. There are a lot of anxiety medications for animals. However, what are their side effects? Can we use them safely? It's exhausting sometimes. I imagine like how your job can be exhausting sometimes.

Green Apple (1:15:10)
Oh

yeah. Oh yeah. But I'm going to have to stop you right from there. I asked for an hour, hour, 15 of your minutes.

but with that said,

the floor is yours. You know, can promote, share anything you want to do. Floor is yours.

Scoxah (1:15:28)
I would like to say that I have videos up but I don't I've recorded I haven't posted I haven't edited anything I'm terrible I'm probably just gonna switch to just streaming at random days days but if I do stream stream the name that you see scoza scoza on youtube is scoxah if y'all wondering the origins of my name

name it is chaos but kingdom horse

It's snorted.

I'm chill.

Green Apple (1:16:25)
Scotia has returned. Thank you. Good luck with the applications for your vet school. And you know me, I always have a thing. ⁓ I've collected quotes. And even now, actually, let me backtrack. let me backtrack. ⁓ The last episode, ⁓ Ship of Theseus. ⁓ That thing, I didn't know where the quote came from. I found it in my notes after.

Scoxah (1:16:30)
Thank you. Thank you.

Green Apple (1:16:54)
some digging. That quote came from Charlemagne the God. ⁓ Tweaked it just a little bit, but came from Charlemagne the God. And so this quote, ⁓ this thing today, like I was saying, even though it started off Silly Saturday, it's about animals, I still feel like I have a quote for this situation, right? ⁓ Once I have another co-host, ⁓

Maybe they would do something else. But you know, this is my thing. This is what I like to do. I'm sharing something that I just collect. So the thing also comes from Shalomite the God. If you haven't noticed, I listen to the Breakfast Club a lot. So let that be. But let me get my thing. I'm reading this off. All right. And the quote is.

Your character will always be revealed by how you treat those that can't do anything for you.

Scoxah (1:17:53)
Yeah, honestly, that's a good quote. Cause honestly,

I can add a little bit of ⁓ quote, but like, or not a quote I guess, but just kind of like something that I live by, based off of your quote. I don't walk around expecting anything from anybody. I do what I do because I do it.

Green Apple (1:17:59)
Yep. Go ahead.

I it. like that. And so, you know, my sendoff is don't forget to ask yourself, ask others, and never stop asking questions. See you.

Scoxah (1:18:26)
Woo!
